Home, There is just something so special to me about being home. Whenever I’m working all I want to do is get home. It’s safe, comfortable and our little haven. I’ve been thinking a lot more about home since I’m out of the home a lot with work these day’s. I miss being home. So, I’m kind of at a cross roads. I want to be home more. Have less stress. How do I do that? Well, find something profession wise more conducive to do that. Hmmmmm….. This has led me to a lot of thinking and soul searching. I think my path is unfolding a little more everyday but the top 2 picks right now or choices shall I say could not be MORE different. Funny how life can be?

So as I sweat, pray, pace the house, talk on the phone endlessly to family and friends. I know whatever I decide will be the right one:)

Has anyone else completely changed their career paths to fit their personality better??? I’m hoping I’m not the only one!

Oodles of doodles I tell ya!!!

Why am I obsessed with all things artsy fartsy? Why can’t I decide on one thing? Why must I try all things crafty/artsy?

I can’t really say. I just love expressing myself I suppose.

Funny story. I decided last saturday I was going to teach my self how to draw, and by golly I was gonna do it!

These are my first 4 pieces of drawing art I’ve ever done. I really love it! I mean I’m only 3 days into this hobby but I love it!.

Now, you will just have to keep me from Michael’s craft store. I’m pretty sure I want to buy out their entire section of Copic Markers. I could only purchase 3 since they are a pretty penny, but SO worth it! If you’ve never heard of them. Check them out here .

Why couldn’t I have been related to someone who owned part of the Michaels franchise? Or even the Copic Markers franchise? I regress.

I have a 40% off coupon coming up for Michael’s and when the cashier handed it to me I said that’s really not good for me. I may lose all my pennies there!

So, ladies and gents! Get creative! Say what? IT’s too late to start new hobbies?! No, no, no! You can start anytime! Dream big my friends, have fun & make some doodles!

Happy Mother’s Day Mom!!!

This post is dedicated to my Momma of course!

So very Cliche, but let me tell you. This is one AMAZING women!!!

She came to know Christ as her Lord and Savior in her early thirties and since then has raised her family on the solid rock (Jesus Christ ).

Mom, I’m grateful that you shared the gift of salvation and that I know who my true maker is.

I’m so blessed that Dad knew the true meaning of living a life for Christ and that he is now resting in Jesus’ arms.

Mom, truly besides everything you’ve ever done, and will do. My biggest thank you is my Salvation and personal relationship with Christ. Thank you for sharing him with all of us!

If Dad were here he would definitely say the same!

The Braided Headband

Oh my! The braided head band!!! I just love it!! What I love more is Ashley! She blogs over at Myshineproject .

Please go and check her out Here . What am I saying? You’ve probably already been there!

Anyway, I watched her little take on the braided headband and knew I had to try it! So fun!

Everyone at church kept asking if it was a headband. That must be a good sign? It looks fake because it’s so nice? Eh ya probably not. Either way fun fun fun!

Vaca part 3. St Lucia

Vaca part 3!!!

We kicked off our first formal night! Sorry the shot is blurry. The lights were wacko and the ship was rocking! I mean I guess it makes sense;)

Josh forgot his tie on our last cruise and this cruise he forgot is coat. Hmm. I guess you can never win.

Classy!

Our second stop was the Beautiful St. Lucia! That was the stop I was very much anticipating!!

We got off the ship knowing we wanted to see everything that St. Lucia had to offer so we wanted to do a tour of the Island.

We walked off the ship and Ran into Junior. Whom we didn’t know but instantly had a connection with him and him with our family. So he asked his boss if he could take us on a personal tour of the island. and boy did he!

The sights we saw! Oh my oh my!

The beaches are gorgeous. the people are friendly, we went and got coconuts where the locals go. Saw some incredible sights.

He showed us the Chocolate plants, banana plants, guava plants.

Banana tree’s are everywhere there so they try to incorporate it into every dish there.

Josh asked Junior how often they ate beef. Junior replied. “Christmas” hmmmm. I think they could teach Americans a thing or two about food!

Some fun stuff, Pirates of the caribbean was filmed here. The bachelor on Jake’s season was filmed there and we saw tons of celebrities houses. Enjoy the photos.

What am I totally and completely obsessed with since coming home from our Vacation?

Oh I dunno, Coconut!

It’s complete madness!

Stop the madness!

Wait, no I love it!

Here are my FAVorite forms of coconut right now.

1. Coconut water for drinking straight up.

2. coconut milk for smoothies or coconut ice cream!

3. coconut flakes for after dinner noshing as a dessert

4. uh bananas. BANANAS? well, ya. They go great with coconut so they just get grafted in.

5. Actual fresh coconut!

So, drink up, eat up, blend up and enjoy!

Today has been one of those days.

You see. When one works more then 40 hours a week for long periods of time one has a total melt down.

That person would be me. Things are bumpy, busy, crazy & not how they should be in my book, but they’re exactly how they should be in God’s book

So what to do in this unbelievably weary season???

Trust, pray, seek & have faith. God knows what he’s doing.

There will be some big changes for me in the next two months.

I’m scared, but God is not, because well, He knows what he’s doing and I’m sure glad about that. Because this gal has not a clue.

So now what?

Well, bake cookies for you of course!

Ok, I wish I could deliver these to you in person but the internet will have to do.

I always tell Josh it would be so cool if we had smellavision or could smell things through the phone or internet. One can Dream

I’ll keep dreaming up crazy idea’s, you go and make these Chocolate Chip Vegan Cookies!

Hi All!

Well, seeing that we almost missed our ship!

We we’re thrilled to be on board!!!

Here’s us on the first day pulling out of port. Nothing feels better then to know all you have to worry about for the next two weeks is brushing your teeth;)

Dinner = AMAZING! They were so accommodating to my food preferences

First stop! ANTIGUA!

Seeing who could give us the best offer for a cab ride

There are just no words!

It was the prettiest beach I’ve ever been on. Let’s not forget I’ve lived in Hawaii. So this is saying a lot.

I purchased an ankle bracelet and necklaces on the beach from a lady who Makes them. She said she had 10 kids.

I’m not sure if that’s true or not, but she sure got my money!

Oh such sweet bliss.

A few simple things that make life so much more colorful!

I just love things that are crazy and mild all at the same time. I’ve been known to wear a barbie sequined jacket one day and a tank with ripped jeans the next.

These would be my simple picks for spring!

Although I can’t afford their prices, it’s great for idea’s.

On an end note. As much as I do love me some fashion.

It’s always good to remember that it’s not a MUST or what make’s the world go round.

I’m not immune to the worlds standards of always feeling like we NEED more,

but, I try to remind myself to be inspired and creative and reinvent whatcha got!

Hi friends! So I guess I will start at the beginning of our trip and you will just have to hear all about it and be bombarded with pictures of our vaca for a while:)

We flew into Florida first for 4 days to visit some really close friends of ours and went to watch the sunset not long after we got there.

Our friends were also sweet enough to find a healthy vegan/raw restaurant for us to eat.

You better believe we hit that place up a couple of times after that!

It was Happy Healthy Human. Go check it out! They we’re super nice too! Always a bonus!

The next 4 days were filled with warm beaches and a trip to St Augustine as well. So fun! We also walked around the fort there. We wanted to go in

but at $10 a person we figured we would just walk around it!

The weather in Florida was amazing and we were sad to say goodbye to our friends but excited to get on our cruise ship for the caribbean, bahamas & virgin islands! Little did we know we would almost miss our ship!

I’ll save the rest for later!
